The Darien 5th grade team worked hard and was named the ‘team of the week’ on News 12. This team is the only Darien Junior Football League that made it to the championship and won this year.
Darien White, with many from this team with same coaches, won the 4th grade championship against New Canaan last year.
The top coaches include head coach Joel Shutzman, who is holding the trophy in the photo above, assistant coaches Chris Browning, Kody Shutzman and Andy Tomasello.
The team includes Karson Drake, Thomas Edwards, Walker Clemans, Jake Vairo, Ryan Johnson, James Tomasello, Mason Hedley, Tauson Pfeifle, Christian Alliegro, Joe Cesare, Ryan Walter, Harrison Bell, Hudson Hearle, Gianni Vivenzio, Miles Drake, Brian Martin, Kevin Corcoran, Matthew Taylor, Rafe Van Wagenen, Tighe Cumminskey, Tyler Panourgias, Charlie Browning, Rafferty Nelson, Andrew Fiorenza, Jesse Shutzman, Beau Hancock, Duke Hagen and Eve Clemans, Darien White's mascot.
