The Piranhas left the Y on Thursday and when the weekend was over, they had won five events, placed in the top three in three others, broke 10 team records and achieved 20 new lifetime best times.

The meet was hosted by the YOTA Swim Team and featured 65 YMCA Teams from Connecticut to Virginia.

Oliver Rus lead all Piranhas winning five events: 50, 100 Freestyle, 100, 200 Breaststroke and 200 IM. He won the latter three in new team record time.

John Barsanti placed second in both the 13/14 100 Breaststroke and 200 IM and fourth in the 13/14 200 Breaststroke, breaking the 13/14 team records in the 100 and 200 Breaststroke.

The final team record to fall over the weekend was by Phoebe Slaughter in the 1650 Freestyle (the mile). She placed third in that event and placed fifth in 400 IM and sixth in the 200 Backstroke.

Rounding out the Piranha contingent was Nick Giotis, Jennifer Chen and James Terhune, who between the three of them had eight lifetime best times out of 11 races.
