Darien Youth Hockey Seeks More Players For Mini Mite Program

DARIEN, Conn.-- The Darien Youth Hockey Association still has open spots for more players in its Mini Mite program.

The Darien Youth Hockey Association is looking for 5-year-olds interesting in learning the sport.

Mini Mite program is designed for 5-year-olds who have either had some instruction or who are true beginners at hockey.

Blueline Sports Academy will teach the basics of skating and ice hockey skills by utilizing drills and educational games. All the lessons learned during the week will be re-emphasized during the weekend sessions run by volunteer parent/coaches, who will also use drills and small area games.

The weekday/weekend practices will alternate between Thursday/Saturday and Friday/Sunday.
