The race will include a 10K and 1.5 mile loop, and will feature “The Finish Line” tent with entertainment, games, food, pre-race warm up, post-race cool down and a winners’ ceremony.
The Darien Road Race has raised more than $950,000 for the Community Fund of Darien, which benefits residents of Stamford, Norwalk and Darien in critical need of support from the effects of poverty, homelessness, hunger, mental illness, substance abuse, domestic violence and more.
“We are excited for the 35th running of this beloved Darien race,” said Carrie Bernier, executive director of The Community Fund of Darien. “Over the years, the Darien Road Race has become a true community and family event, for serious and leisure runners alike.”
The registration fee is $40 ($45 on race day) and $15 for children 12 and under. The first 400 registered runners will receive an official 2014 Darien Road Race micro-fiber performance t-shirt on race day.
