Report: Darien's Brian Cashman Breaks Ankle Skydiving

DARIEN, Conn. - New York Yankees General Manager and Darien resident Brian Cashman broke his ankle Monday while skydiving in Florida, according to the New York Daily News.

Cashman was jumping with the U.S. Army Golden Knights to raise awareness for the Wounded Warrior Project. His first jump was successful, but on his second jump he caught his ankle as he landed and "heard a pop," he told the New York Daily News.

Cashman was taken to a nearby hospital on a fire truck and will undergo surgery.

The Yankee official is no stranger to daredevil stunts. Every holiday season he rappels down the side of the Landmark Building in Stamford as part of the annual Heights and Lights holiday extravaganza.
