Snow Forces Rescheduling Of Greenwich-Darien Football Championship

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- The Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference Football Championship games scheduled for Saturday have been rescheduled due to the anticipated snow.

The four games had been scheduled to be held on Saturday, but all except one have now been moved to Monday.

The Class LL championship game between Darien and Greenwich had been scheduled for 11 a.m. on Saturday, but the game has been moved up to 10 a.m. on Saturday at Boyle Stadium.

The CIAC will assess the weather on Saturday morning and make a decision by 6 a.m. on whether the game will be played as scheduled on Saturday. Check the CIAC website on Saturday for more information.

The Class L game between Daniel Hand and Masuk, originally scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday at Veterans Stadium, will now be held at 6:30 p.m. on Monday at Trumbull High School.

The Class M game between Killingly and Joel Barlow, originally scheduled for 3 p.m. Saturday at Veterans Stadium, will now be held at 6:30 p.m. at Willow Brook Park.

The Class S game between Ansonia and St. Joseph, originally scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday in West Haven, will now be held at 6:30 p.m. on Monday at Cheshire High School.
