Print Print Print .... That's all the country that happens to print the world reserve currency has to do. .... until that day when the rest of the world no longer wants that currency because they realize that it's backed by nothing but a debt inundated government. .... which of course has already begun as major countries like Russia, China, Japan, Iran etc are already moving to exchanges in their own currencies. .... Not many are aware that perhaps a main reason why the US attacked and invaded Iraq is because Hussein was moving to sell Iraq's oil in euros and no longer in US petro dollars. This also applies to Iran. ... Once the US loses it's petro dollar, world reserve currency status, it's game over for the US, but until that day comes, .. it's Print, Print, Print, .. and the American people continue to lose their savings to the loss of purchasing power of the dollar, caused by all the printing to pay for all the warring and growth of government and government spending etc, etc, etc. View Comment
Oh yeah, ... such a huge animal. It's like hitting a large horse with a car. .. and if it happens to be a big bull with a full rack of antlers, ...forget about it.
Regarding bears in CT., here's a chart from the DEEP showing the number of sightings for different towns over the past year;

No kidding?! .... Thanks for the info. That is really amazing. ... To have mountain lion, bear, moose, deer of course, coyote, wild turkey etc, returning to the area these recent years is really remarkable.
Just did a little research and discovered that the moose population has been growing in western CT for some time now. It would appear that it is just a matter of time before they start showing up more down in this area.
I couldn't find anything on the one you cited, but here is a link to an article two years ago about an appearance in the Bethel area;
Sounds to me like Bob may be aware of the fact that as The Institute For Responsible Technology reported; "... Before the FDA decided to allow GMOs into food without labeling, FDA scientists had repeatedly warned that GM foods can create unpredictable, hard-to-detect side effects, including allergies, toxins, new diseases, and nutritional problems. They urged long-term safety studies, but were ignored. ..."
Did you know that (as reported in the Wall St Journal), upon Obama's first taking office, a group of FDA scientists petitioned him, pleading that he clean up the agency because of it being so corrupt. Not only did Obama ignore them, he appointed a former Monsanto VP and lobbyist as Deputy Commissioner at the FDA. This even after Obama had campaigned on the promise that he would ensure that GMO's would be labeled.
Bob may also even be aware of the fact that Monsanto has been putting farmers who are not growing gmo crops, out of business and taking over their farms by suing them when some of their crop has been found to contain Monsanto's gmo corn amongst it. A result of seed being blown across a road onto a neighboring farms fields.
Or maybe Bob is aware of the fact that industries GMO crop seeds allows the industry to patent seeds and thus to own the seeds. As this expands it will more and more allow the industry to own and control all of the food supply on the planet. The implications are quite disturbing.
We need a lot more Bob's in Washington and a lot less individuals who are uninformed as to what has become of our government agency's such as the FDA. Wake up America.

It won't be worth a damn if the federal legislation that Monsanto is working to get passed is secured. That legislation will cancel state laws regarding labeling. People need to take action signing petitions, contacting their legislators. Copy & paste the links below and pass them on to others;
I sure hope the other New England - tri state area states can get on board with this. The very corrupt FDA isn't worth a damn. We also need the rescinding of federal legislation that supports and protects gmo's and Monsanto. Sign the petition;

the federal income tax was never ratified. in truth there is no law that requires a citizen to pay tax on income from labor. the constitution states that a citizen is only required to pay tax on income that is profit. a small number of individual citizens have challenged the IRS over this in court and won because the govt is unable to show the law that requires a citizen to pay tax on income from labor. The big secret that the IRS does not want anyone to know, is that the income tax is voluntary and not legally required by law. View Comment
Reminds me of the fact that just prior to 9/11, the Bush admin. was warned repeatedly by certain foreign nations that terrorists were determined to attack the US with hijacked planes, .. and the admin. did absolutely nothing in response. .... When C. Rice sat in front of congressional committee and testified that; "There was no way we could have ever imagined people flying planes into buildings.", ... It certainly would appear that she was lying.
I always wondered why when after 9/11 Bush declared; "It's my job to protect the American people, and I'm going to do my job." .... no-one said; "So where the hell were you on 9/11 when it mattered most? View Comment
The city has created quite the blend of new high end apartment buildings and low income crime ridden neighborhoods in the south end of Stamford. It's going to be interesting to see how this plays out over time. View Comment
Yeah, but just think of all the Wall St banks that will lose big from the money laundering they do for the drug cartels if we legalize pot and or other recreational drugs. .... Gee, I wonder why the poppy fields in Afghanistan are flourishing in spite of the US occupation.
I think it's great that when a big bank gets caught laundering illegal drug money they just pay a fine, .. but when the guy on the street gets caught with an illegal substance in their pocket, ..they go to jail. .... Gotta love Democracy.

By the way PTS ....
Just thought with your environmental concern you might like to learn about the latest gift our terrific president has given the American people, .. and this one seems to fit right in with him appointing a former Monsanto vice president to the FDA;
This one's from Helen Caldicott's web site; 'Nuclear Free Planet' April 9, 2013;
"WHITE HOUSE APPROVES RADICAL RADIATION CLEANUP ROLLBACK"
"Washington, DC — The White House has given final approval for dramatically raising permissible radioactive levels in drinking water and soil following “radiological incidents,” such as nuclear power-plant accidents and dirty bombs. The final version, slated for Federal Register publication as soon as today, is a win for the nuclear industry which seeks what its proponents call a “new normal” for radiation exposure among the U.S population, according Public Employees for Environmental Responsibility (PEER).
Issued by the Environmental Protection Agency, the radiation guides (called Protective Action Guides or PAGs) allow cleanup many times more lax than anything EPA has ever before accepted. These guides govern evacuations, shelter-in-place orders, food restrictions and other actions following a wide range of “radiological emergencies.” The Obama administration blocked a version of these PAGs from going into effect during its first days in office. The version given approval late last Friday is substantially similar to those proposed under Bush but duck some of the most controversial aspects:
In soil, the PAGs allow long-term public exposure to radiation in amounts as high as 2,000 millirems. This would, in effect, increase a longstanding 1 in 10,000 person cancer rate to a rate of 1 in 23 persons exposed over a 30-year period; ..."

Whatever is in fact true, .. I would never contest the very serious need to get humanity off of using fossil fuels and to stop polluting our natural environment. Nothing could be more true than that.
I for one am in the camp that strongly suspects that technology that could have averted us from this problem years ago has been purposely suppressed towards maintaining the profits and power that has been maintained via fossil fuel energy dependency. View Comment
