Cool, Rainy Weather Headed For Darien

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. — Showers are headed to Fairfield County, arriving in the early morning hours on Tuesday, cooling things off and lasting all day until evening, according to the National Weather Service.

Monday will be mostly cloudy, with temperatures near 67 degrees and light winds.

The showers will arrive mainly after 4 a.m. Tuesday morning, when increasing clouds will develop, and the temperature could drop 20 degrees to around 47.

Tuesday will bring periods of rain and slightly warmer air, near 52 degrees. The overall chance of precipitation is 80 percent, bringing the possibility of a quarter to a half of an inch of rain.

Showers will continue into Tuesday evening, under cloudy skies, then becoming partly cloudy, with temperatures dropping to around 40 degrees.

The sun will be out Wednesday, bringing up the mercury to near 59 degrees.

Wednesday night will be mostly clear, with colder air around 37 degrees.

There's a chance for afternoon showers Thursday, an otherwise mostly sunny day, with near 50-degree temperatures.

Showers are possible again Thursday night when skies will be cloudy, and the air cools down to 39 degrees.

Friday will be a partly sunny day, with toastier temperatures around 59 degrees.
