A deep plunge in temperatures will be followed by an Alberta Clipper system that could bring more snow to the area Wednesday night into Thursday, according to AccuWeather.com.

The tristate area is expected to get a coating to an inch of snow during that time, leading to slippery travel conditions. (See chart above.)

Wednesday will be mostly sunny, with a high only reaching the upper 20s and wind-chill values between 5 and 15 degrees.

The snow chance begins just after midnight Thursday and continues until around noontime. Thursday's high will again be in the upper 20s and wind gusts as high as 20 to 22 miles per hour and cloudy skies in the afternoon.

The outlook for Friday calls for more clouds and a high between 26 and 28 degrees.
