February Thaw: Temps Will Keep Climbing To Nearly 60 In Darien

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. — You need to check the calendar to believe it's February, because weather-wise, it's starting to feel like spring across Fairfield County.

Temperatures will be soaring into the 60s this week, according to the National Weather Service. Despite any clouds, temperatures will continue to average well above normal.

On Thursday morning, a southerly flow will bring in low-level moisture, resulting in a good deal of cloud cover with areas of patchy fog.

After the fog clears, Thursday will be partly sunny and the balmy air will hit nearly 61 degrees.

Rain could come by late Thursday night under mainly cloudy skies, and cooler air will be around 46.

A chance of more rain welcomes Friday, when foggy patches will stick around in the morning. It will become cloudy during the day and warm up to around 55.

Friday night will be cloudy with some drizzle and not get much colder than 47.

More drizzle comes Saturday, when light rain will stick around all morning. The day will be cloudy and warm, nearly 62.

Rain continues into Saturday night with showers past midnight, and much cooler air, down to near 36.

Finally, Sunday is a sunny one, and still cool, in the 40s.
