FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- After several days of unseasonably warm weather in Fairfield County this week, temperatures are expected to cool to normal levels this weekend.

It will still be a little above normal on Thursday, when the high will be near 78, according to the National Weather Service. It will feel less muggy during the day, as a dry air mass settles in. Thursday will be mostly sunny, with breezy conditions.

It will begin to cool Thursday night, which will be clear with a low around 47.

Friday will be another sunny day, but the temperatures will be at or slightly below normal, with a high near 66. Friday night will see a 30 percent chance of showers, mainly after 1 a.m. Otherwise the night will have increasing clouds, with a low around 51.

Saturday will be partly sunny, with a 20 percent chance of showers. The high will be near 64. Saturday night will be partly cloudy, with a low around 45.

Sunday will be sunny, with a high near 68. Sunday night will be mostly clear, with a low around 48.

Next week will start off on a pleasant note. Monday is expected to be sunny, with a high near 70.
