Warm Front Brings Higher Temps And Rain To Darien

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- After several days of freezing temperatures, the weather in Fairfield County will warm up this week, with some rain expected over the next couple days as well. Temperatures will then lower a bit, with some snow predicted for next weekend.

A warming trend is expected through mid-week, according to the National Weather Service. Highs Monday will be in the upper 30s to mid 40s, a 5 to 10 increase compared to Sunday. The lows will be much warmer as well, in the lower 30s to near 40.

The day will be mostly sunny, but there is a chance of rain Monday night as a warm front approaches and moves through from the southwest, according to the NWS. Tuesday will be cloudy with a 50 percent chance of rain. The high will be near 51.

Rain is likely Tuesday night, with a low around 44. The chance of precipitation is 70 percent.

Wednesday will see a 30 percent chance of rain before 10 a.m., followed by partly sunny weather with a high near 56. Wednesday night will be partly cloudy with a low around 31.

Temperatures could dip down a bit in the later half of the week. The high Thursday will be 46, with a low Thursday night of around 31. Friday the high will be near 45, and the low Friday night will be around 23.

Saturday will be cloudy with a high near 35. Saturday night there is a 40 percent chance of snow, with a low around 23. Sunday there is a 30 percent chance of snow.
