All donations will support Post 53, which for more than 40 years has provided Darien with emergency medical services, in addition to providing local high school students with an exceptional opportunity to serve their community. The dedicated volunteers of Post 53 operate three fully-equipped state-of-the-art ambulances, 24/7.

“We are excited to host this event, which is about fundraising for our organization, but also to raise awareness about the importance of cardiovascular health. Not only is fitness an important part of that, but also helping more people become better prepared in the event of an emergency," said Post 53 Assistant Director Nancy Herling.

The minimum donation is $30 per bike, per adult and $20 per youth rider, which can be paid at the door.

In addition, brief 10-minute “hands-only” CPR sessions will be conducted prior, during and after the ride for people who want to learn to save a life.

The ride begins at 1 p.m. at the studio, 25 Old Kings Highway North in the Goodwives Shopping Center. To sign up for the ride, please visit bit.ly/JOYEvents

Since co-founders and Westport residents Amy Hochhauser, Rhodie Lorenz and Debbie Katz founded JoyRide more than four years ago, they have witnessed how indoor cycling can transform people’s lives, whether it be improving their health, becoming stronger physically and emotionally or overcoming challenges on and off the bike.

Since opening, JoyRide has raised nearly $500,000 for charitable causes and organizations close to riders’ hearts.
