Kids Can Customize Their Kicks At The Darien Arts Center

DARIEN, Conn. -- The Darien Arts Center Visual Arts Studio is to host an artistic workshop Saturday for children ages 8-12.

Custom Kicks: Paint Your Sneakers! will afford the children the opportunity to cover their sneakers with colors, patterns and words, according to event organizers, who said the workshop is scheduled for 1 - 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 18.

Those participating in the event should bring a pair of clean, light-colored canvas shoes, according to organizers, who said the event will be led by Darien Arts Center Visual Arts Director Beth Wegiel Cherico.

The workshop cost $40, according to organizers. To register, find the Darien Arts Center online or call 203-655-8683.

The Darien Arts Center is located at 2 Renshaw Road behind Darien Town Hall.
