DARIEN, Conn. -- The Darien Library will continue its series celebrating Hilary Mantel novels and the Masterpiece Theatre production of the same name, "Wolf Hall," on April 29 at 7 p.m. in the Louise Parker Berry Community Room.
Transport yourself to Tudor England and learn about the new BBC period drama in historical context. Henry VIII was king of England from 1509 to 1547. The series will explore the lives of the six women who shared his life as wives and queens.
The library series is presented by Ramona Garcia who has taught European history at the collegiate level. She has presented conference papers in the U.S. and Great Britain, and has publications in her field of English history, one of which has been included in the "Bibliography of British and Irish History" (formerly the "Royal Historical Society Bibliography").
The Darien Library is co-sponsor of the series with the Darien Arts Center. The library is at 1441 Post Road.
