DARIEN, Conn. – Nielsen’s Florist, in partnership with Paint the Town Pink, is kicking off Breast Cancer Awareness month with “Bras for a Cause” on Wednesday, Oct. 1, at 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the Conservatory.
The event is open to the public, and guests are encouraged to decorate a bra to support Breast Cancer Awareness prior to the event. All the bras will then be officially unveiled that evening, with guests being invited to vote on their favorite bra of the night. All voting proceeds and the $10 entry fee will be donated directly to Paint the Town Pink.
Andrew Stefanou Salon and Spa will offer free mini facials and Nielsen’s Claire Stack will demonstrate how to arrange the pink flowers of the moment. Pink drinks and treats will be served throughout the evening.
Decorated bras need to be submitted to Nielsen’s by Saturday, Sept. 27. Voting will take place the night of the event and for one week after online. The grand winner will receive a signature “Pink Cosmopolitan” arrangement, a $200 Nielsen’s gift certificate and a free makeover at Andrew Stefanou Salon. Two runners-up will receive gift certificates.
