This holiday performance which sells out consistently carries on a 15-year tradition begun in 2002 by Dance Director Bonnie Gombos. The first production was of two performances with 10 adult dancers, and has grown every year.

This year there will be eight performances with 70 dancers from the DAC dance program.

Gombos coordinates and choreographs 40 children in each performance, who comprise three different casts of angels and two different cast of ‘pollichenelles’, in addition to dancers from the junior, senior and adult dance companies.

This DAC version of the Tchaikovsky ballet is adapted into an hour-long narrated show to accommodate the attention span of children.

Children will get to sit up close and are invited to meet and greet characters after each performance. Cast members are local dancers of all ages.

Performances at 2 Renshaw Road, behind the Darien Town Hall are Dec. 10, 11, 17, at noon and 3 p.m.; Dec. 16, at 6 p.m. and Dec. 18, at noon.

Tickets are $10. Reservations are recommended at (203) 655-8683 or Bonnie@darienarts.org
