DANBURY, Conn. -- A child whose family member has died often feels isolated from their peers. The unique and tragic experience of losing a loved one often causes children to act out, or on the contrary, retreat within themselves.
The Healing Hearts Center for Grief and Loss at Regional Hospice and Home Care in Danbury is a place where children can find comfort in knowing they are not alone in their grief.
The Children’s Program offers support groups for individuals ages 4 through 18, providing children and teens a safe place to grieve. A concurrent parent group also allows parents to connect with one another.
The program is free to anyone in the community. For an intake appointment or for more information, please call Joanna DeNicola, Program Manager at 203-702-9152 or email email@example.com.
