DARIEN, Conn.– Tickets are still available for OPUS for Person-to-Person's annual fundraiser, the BigGER Rig Gig, which will be held this weekend in Darien.
The festive and casual outdoor fundraiser will be held Saturday, Sept. 23 at the Ox Ridge Field in Darien. Ring's End and the Bank of Oklahoma are this year's lead sponsors for the annual fundraiser.
“We are so grateful to Ring’s End for their continued generosity and support of The BigGER Rig Gig as a lead sponsor, and are honored to have the Bank of Oklahoma as a lead sponsor of this year’s event as well,” said Cameron Sokolik, board liaison fall fundraiser, OPUS for Person-to- Person. “These two organizations generously help us continue to bring resources to those who need it most in our neighboring communities.”
Last year, the event raised more than $85,000 for Person-to- Person.
For it’s fifth annual event, this year’s BigGER Rig Gig has “Gone South” and will feature live bluegrass music from The Wool Hats and DJ Matthew Mixwell, Southern-themed fare from food trucks including House of Bones BBQ, Mardi Parti, Melt Mobile, Taco Loco and Yardbird and Co.
Taking place under and open-air tent, the event will feature lawn games, dancing under the stars and the chance to win raffle prizes including a family adventure package at Camelback Resort, a getaway to the famed Grace Mayflower Inn and Spa, a United Nations tour and Delegates Dining Room lunch, group yoga package and a family photography session from local photographer Karen Morneau.
Tickets are still available for this year’s event, and all-inclusive tickets are $135 per person for OPUS Members and their spouses and $150 per person for non-members. Tickets can be purchased by visiting www.opus4p2p.org/fundraiser/brg or by emailing email@example.com.
