While the original plan was to have the new tolls ready to go on Saturday morning, rainy weather is expected to push the launch to late Saturday evening.

Drivers will either pay their tolls by E-Z Pass or will get a bill in the mail from now on, thanks to high-tech cameras placed near Exit 10 in South Nyack.

The toll-takers are relocating to either Yonkers, New Rochelle or Harriman.

Two of the last toll-takers, Henry Gregorio and Dwayne Redman, spoke to Daily Voice earlier in April as their time at the bridge was ending.

Redman talked about the relationships he'd built with daily commuters, including being invited to cookouts and receiving Christmas gifts, disproving the stereotype that 'toll-takers are unfriendly.'

Gregorio, a 22-year veteran, spoke about meeting Keanu Reeves when the actor was doing research for a film role, and reluctantly accepted technology's march forward, saying that toll-taking 'was not a job for the future.”
