DARIEN, Conn. – A portion of Rowayton Avenue will close to traffic from all this week due to a paving project.
The work will be performed from Monday, Nov. 17, to Friday, Nov. 21, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.
The closure will be from Jacob Street on the south to Devils Garden Road on the north.
Highland Avenue shall be used as a detour route. Signs will be installed to advise motorists.
Local traffic and Rowayton railroad station commuters will have access to the road.
Because of equipment operating on the roadway, local residents and commuters should allow extra time when traveling in the area.
Houses within the project limits, from Carolyn Court to Arnold Lane, as well as Belmont Place, may have limited access to their driveways during certain periods of the day. Parking in adjacent streets is highly recommended.
Police officers will be on-site to direct traffic and pedestrians at all times during the construction work.
