Retired Darien Teacher Reported Missing; Family Offering $10K Reward

DARIEN, Conn. – A 63-year-old retired teacher from Darien was reported missing by her family, who are asking for the public's help in finding her and offering a reward.

Suzanne Stisser, a former physical education teacher at Tokeneke School, has been missing since the morning of Jan. 1, according to her family and police. 

She drove away from her home at Briar Brae Road in a dark gray Subaru Forester with the Connecticut license plate number 483-YTB at about 11 a.m. Friday, police said Saturday in a statement.

The Darien Police Department said it is investigating it as a missing person case and working with several other neighboring jurisdictions in an attempt to locate her.

Anyone with information regarding her whereabouts is strongly encouraged to contact the Darien Police Department immediately at 203-662-5300.

The Hour reported that she was hanging out with her family when she left without telling anyone. Her family said they have searched for her in many places in town, The Hour said.
