Officers received a report at about 8 p.m. Sunday from a home on Woodway Road saying a resident had been shot with an airsoft gun, police said. They met with the 43 year-old complainant, who had a small wound on the upper bridge of her nose, police said.

She told the officers that several youths had been in the back corner of her yard. When she opened her rear sliding door to yell at them, several shots were fired at her house, including one that hit her in the face, police said.

There was a white pellet inside the rear door, and several matching pellets on the patio, police said.

The victim told officers that she knew who had shot the pellets, and directed them to a home on Hoyt Street, police said. Police said that when they approached the house, they could see two airsoft guns in the garage through an open door. Officers spoke with the parents, as well as two teens who lived in the house and two of their friends who were there, police said.

The teens told officers that a friend, a 13-year-old, was the one who had done the shooting, police said. They said he had used a sniper rifle-style airsoft gun, according to police reports.

Officers spoke with the victim, who said she did not want to press charges but wanted an apology. The Detective Bureau is following up on the incident.
