GREENWICH, Conn. — Someone's move didn't go exactly as planned as a moving truck became wedged Thursday morning under a Metro-North train bridge in Greenwich.
The incident occurred on Tomac Avenue in Old Greenwich near the Innis Arden Golf Course. The driver of the New York City truck — bearing the motto "Moving Without Surprises" — was apparently surprised by the 10 foot, 5 inch clearance at the site.
Police from Greenwich and the Metropolitan Transit Authority are on the scene.
The good news: Traffic is being allowed to pass through the area. And trains are moving normally across the bridge. The bad news: The movers will be a bit late.
It was not clear when the truck would be cleared from the roadway.
