Elvin Ramos, 26, and Wilmer Arias, 39, were each charged with third-degree burglary, conspiracy to commit third-degree burglary and third-degree larceny. Each was held on $10,000 bond and arraigned in court Monday.

Darien police received a complaint Jan. 22 that a home on Waldon Road had been burglarized. The home was under construction and had been forcibly entered, police said. About $8,000 in contractor's tools and compressors were reported taken.

Through an investigation, officers were able to learn the whereabouts of the stolen tools on Wednesday, Feb. 4, and recover them, according to police.

They were also able to produce surveillance video and images of a vehicle used in the burglary, police said. On Friday, Feb. 6, they identified the two subjects responsible for the burglary as Ramos and Arias, according to police reports.

The two were located Friday in the Meadow Street area of Norwalk and placed under arrest.

Darien police said a warrant for a third arrest has been secured and will be executed at a later date.
