Twin Teenagers Busted At Underage Beer Party In Darien

DARIEN, Conn. -- Two teenage twins from Darien were issued fines last weekend after police said they hosted an underage party with alcohol.

An officer on patrol shortly after midnight on Sunday, March 26 saw a dispute occurring the driveway of a home on Mansfield Avenue, police said. The dispute took place near a car, which a 17-year-old was sitting in, according to police. The car was not running, but the 17-year-old appeared intoxicated and smelled strongly of alcohol, police said.

Police spoke to the two 18-year-old twins who live at the address. One said that he had invited a few friends over, and admitted there was beer in the home, police said. The officer found beer in the home, as well as a beer pong setup and other indications a party had occurred. The two twins were issued infraction tickets for possession of alcohol by a minor, which carries a $136 mail-in fine. 

Numerous youths were turned over to parents or other responsible adults at the scene.
