The 2007 SUV and a 1998 SUV were parked on the road near 14 Beach Drive overnight when they were vandalized, a resident told police on Dec. 24.
"The damage consisted of a long scratch on the driver’s side from front to rear on both vehicles," police said.
The resident did not know who could have damaged the vehicles.
Officers canvassed the area for similar damage to other vehicles but found none. "It could not be determined what was used to cause the damage," police said.
The incident remains under investigation.
