Darien Girls Help Synchronized Skating Team Win Gold

DARIEN, Conn. – Two girls from Darien competed for the Skyliners Beginner team that won a gold medal Saturday at the Terry Conners Synchronized Skating Open in Stamford.

Lily Hudson and Ivey Rao skated on the winning team for the Skyliners, whose teams also won the Pre-Juvenile and Juvenile competitions. Skyliners took second in the Preliminary Division.

Skyliners represent the Springdale Figure Skating Club in Stamford and the Skating Club of New York. The team has nine competitive lines with 176 skaters ranging in ages from 9 to 23. More information is the team is available online.
