Southport Steps Out On Thanksgiving For 38th Annual Pequot Runners Race

SOUTHPORT, Conn. -- Runners lined up Thursday, Nov. 26, to take part in a Southport holiday tradition: The 38th annual Pequot Runners Thanksgiving Day race.

More than 5,000 participants hit the road, including families, children and dogs. They were greeted with beautiful weather for the annual tradition. 

Runners embarked on a 5-mile race, while walkers strolled for 2.7 miles.
