Beginning on Monday, Aug. 15, motorists can expect closures on Route 111 near Historic Drive to Old Church Road in Monroe. There will also be closures on Route 104 north of Butternut Lane in Stamford and on Route 7 in Wilton from Olmstead Hill Road toward Old Mill Road.

Work is expected to last from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday, as well as 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. the rest of the week. The closures are expected to last through Wednesday, Aug. 15.

Officials said that the “project consists of the installation of centerline rumble strips on state-owned roadways.  Rumble strips are a proven safety countermeasure and will minimize the number of lane departure crashes.  The rumble strips will alert drivers through noise and vibration should their vehicle veer off into an opposing lane of traffic.”
