Greenwich Keeps In The Spirit Of St. Patrick's With Sunday Parade
GREENWICH, Conn. — Everybody's still Irish on Sunday, when the Greenwich St. Patrick's Day parade hits the streets at 2 p.m.
The Hibernian Association is gearing up for the parade — in rain or snow —although they are hoping for sunshine.
The parade starts at Town Hall, then goes on Field Point Road, and along the Post Road, and then all the way down Greenwich Avenue.
Greenwich police Detective Mike Rooney, a descendant of Irish immigrants will lead this year's parade with his wife, Coleen, and their children, Brendan and Grace.
Rooney's family came from County Cork, Ireland, in 1821.
