I-84, I-684 Ramp Closures Scheduled There will be overnight ramp closures on I-684 and I-84 in Putnam County for several days, beginning this week. The New York State Department of Transportation announced that from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., beginning on Monday, Aug. 13, there will be ramp closures on the interstates in Southeast, as contracting crews continue a pavement and resurfacing project in the area. Scheduled Route 25 Road Closure Postponed With storms potentially approaching, the scheduled weekend closure of Route 25 in Monroe has been postponed. The Monroe Police Department issued an alert on Friday, noting that the closure has been rescheduled for next weekend. Police said that Route 25 is now scheduled to be closed beginning at 8 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 10 and should last through 6 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 13. During the closure, businesses in the area will remain open, officials noted.

Stuck Tractor-Trailer Leads To Road Closures In Westport A busy area road was temporarily shut down on Sunday night when a tractor-trailer got stuck in the roadway. The tractor-trailer was making a turn onto Saugatuck Avenue off of Sunrise Road in Westport at approximately 7:30 p.m., when the driver got stuck, leading to a temporary road closure as crews unloaded the cargo from the back of the truck. There were no injuries reported, and no other vehicles were involved in the incident. The road was reopened to traffic shortly thereafter
