Interstate 95 has reopened in both directions in Westchester after a man on a bridge overpass was pulled to safety. The incident began around noon on Friday, March 15, when the man was spotted on the overpass at North Avenue in New Rochelle, said New Rochelle Police. Two Major Greenwich Roadways Closed
Police are warning motorists to avoid two main roadways in Greenwich that are closed in sections due to downed trees and wires. As of 4:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 25, North Street is closed by Hurlingham Drive due to a fallen tree and wires, according to dispatch reports. In addition, high winds have brought down another tree and wires, closing King Street between Anderson Hill Road and Stonehedge Drive. Police did not know how long repairs will take. Motorists traveling on I-684 over the weekend may see delays as crews continue construction work in North Castle and Harrison. The New York State Department of Transportation announced that between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 23, there will be double lane closures on the interstate between exit 1 (I-287) and exit 3 (Route 22), weather permitting.
