Hourlong Delays: Route 15 Crash With Injuries Closes Lane
Two people received minor injuries in a three-vehicle crash that blocked Route 15 at the Milford Parkway for about an hour. According to Connecticut State Police, the chain-reaction crash, which backed up traffic for several miles, occurred around 12:15 p.m. Thursday in Stratford. The crash was caused when the last of three vehicles traveling behind each other hit the back of the vehicle in front, which sent the second car into the back of the first vehicle, state police said. The planned closure of a stretch of the Hutchinson River Parkway that had to be postponed has been rescheduled in Westchester. Motorists planning on traveling over the Throgs Neck Bridge this weekend may want to plan on taking an alternate route. The MTA announced that there will be closures on the Bronx-bound lanes this weekend at the Throgs Neck Bridge, beginning Friday, Sept. 28 and spanning through Monday, Oct. 1 in time for the morning commute. Weeks-Long Lane Closures Scheduled On Merritt Parkway
A bridge maintenance project on the Merritt Parkway will lead to lane closures and delays for more than a week in Fairfield County.
